Together at last
After 11 months of waiting and a total of 15 months of paperwork and "process" our family is complete again. We received a call this morning just before 8 indicating that we should expect to meet with the social worker and foster mom around 11-11:30. Just after 11:30 we got the call and met them in the lobby and then returned to our room for awhile. Papa took pictures (I need to get them from him to post) which we'll post later. Both of the kids are (sorta) down for naps right now and life is pretty good.
Erika is a little tentative so far, but seems very interested... it'll be fun to watch that dynamic over the ensuing months.
Matt seems happy as can be... he's been a joy to be with and rather lit up the room while we were doing the "handoff" as he played and giggled.
God is good.
